I have been working in education since 2005. I taught in schools until 2016 when I joined the Autism Outreach Team at Leicestershire County Council, which is where I have worked up until now.
I am excited to join the team at The Fusion Academy and look forward to being part of the new school and meeting the students!
In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit and especially long-distance running. I also love to travel and have a list of places that are on my 'to see list'.
I have been teaching secondary maths for the last 10 years and really enjoy that every day in my job is different!
In my spare time I like to run, attend zumba classes, colour and draw. I have a cockateil called Mergo who is 18months old and always up to mischief!
I am most looking forward to meeting the wonderful students who will be attending The Fusion Academy and to learn, grow and succeed together as we build on our relationships, have fun and build characters!
I've been a primary school teacher for 6 years working at an outstanding primary school in Leicester. Whilst at this school, I have been head of music, drama and oracy. Before my teacher training, I had a placement at a Special School and worked as a behaviour mentor at various city schools.
In my spare time, I have a passion for all things music and enjoy singing in a band, collecting records, djing and going to gigs and concerts. I also love to be outdoors and like running.
I'm really creative and have a good sense of humour (some might say I'm a bit silly at times!). I truly believe that absolutely everyone has qualities, strengths and unique attributes and relish the opportunity to help every pupil shine and be the best that they can be no matter what.
I'm very excited about meeting new children, young people and their families: building a school together that we can all be proud of, where we can have loads of fun whilst learning!
I’ve been teaching IT and Computer Science in secondary schools around Leicestershire since 2010. I’ve also taught, and have a keen interest in, maths, history and DT. In school I like to run all sorts of clubs from computing to rugby as I believe so many different skills can be developed outside of lessons.
In my spare time I enjoy building all sorts of things out of wood (or lego), playing guitar and programming computer games. I love exploring and going to new places, and have helped with Duke of Edinburgh walks in my previous schools. I’m a big fan of rugby and it’s values, cycling and trying new sports.
I can’t wait to start working with a brand new team to make The Fusion Academy a success. It’ll be a great achievement for everyone involved and I’m really keen to get stuck in and work with the new students and staff.
